Yakima Control Towers Roof Rack Video Details Demonstration movie of the Yakima Racks Control Tower system, in this case used as a complete multi-purpose base rack for a vehicle with factory fixed point rack attachment locations on the car rooftop. The Yakima Landing Pads 11 ( LP11 ) connect to the Mazda 3 fixed attachment points, and the Control Towers snap onto the Landing Pads. A pair of Yakima crossbars is also included. With this multi-purpose car rack installed, you can then connect any gear carriers to the base rack cross bars. There are several Yakima Landing Pads available for use with specific vehicle fixed attachment points. This is just one example of the Yakima Control Towers and Landing Pads versatility. Specific Landing Pads can also be used in combination with Control Towers for mounting to factory tracks (replacing the factory rack), permanently installed roof tracks and other permanent installation configurations.
